VUNA International is a non-profit Christian organization and the product  of a joint initiative between The Pokot Mission Project and The Isaiah 58 Ministry. The two organizations work in Pokot and Turkana, and merged in 2013 under the name of The Pokot Mission Project (which was comprised of Seventh-day Adventist Christian professionals from the U.S. and Kenya). We adopted the name VUNA INTERNATIONAL in late 2015. VUNA stands for Voices to UNentered Areas. VUNA also means 'harvest' in Kiswahilli.

Since then, we have grown and run more projects as the needs of the communities change. In the future, we desire to venture beyond Kenya and spread our humanitarian and spiritual efforts to other African nations and Africans in the diaspora. Our three main areas of service are health, food security and education.
